The Butantan Institute has opened applications for a public selection process to fill Scientific Researcher I positions.
The selection is organized by Fundação Vunesp, and applications will be accepted from 10:00 a.m. on April 24, 2025, until 11:59 p.m. on May 23, 2025.
The call includes 11 openings, one for each of the following specialization areas: Monoclonal Antibodies for Medical Use; Biotechnology; Process Development; Development of Next-Generation Vaccine Platforms; Non-Clinical Studies; Biological Product Formulation; Museology; Vaccinology; Systems Vaccinology; Virology; Toxinology.
The selection process includes three stages: a written exam, an academic record evaluation, and an oral exam. The written exam will consist of 80 questions: 20 on general scientific knowledge, 40 on specialized scientific knowledge related to the chosen area, 10 on Portuguese, 5 on public administration, and 5 on computer science. The exam is scheduled for July 20, 2025.
The application fee is R$ 122.17. Blood donors who have made three donations within the 12 months prior to the publication of the call may request a fee waiver. Requests for fee waivers must be submitted between 10:00 a.m. on April 24, 2025, and 11:59 p.m. on April 25, 2025.
To be eligible, applicants must be either native-born or naturalized Brazilians, or, in the case of Portuguese nationals, must be covered by the equality statute between Brazilians and Portuguese citizens, with recognized political rights, in accordance with Article 12, §1 of the Brazilian Federal Constitution.
All positions are based at the Butantan Institute in São Paulo.
