He is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Education of the Universidade de São Paulo. He serves as Chair of the National and International Cooperation Commission (CCNint – FEUSP) and as Institutional Coordinator of PIBID – USP (2024–present). He advises and supervises master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral research in Education and Science Teaching. He holds a degree in Chemistry from the Universidade de São Paulo (1996), a master’s degree in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) from the same university (1999), a Ph.D. in Sciences (Physical Chemistry) from the Universidade de São Paulo (2004), and a degree in Audiovisual Production (Image and Sound) from the Federal University of São Carlos (2004). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Education at the Universidade de São Paulo (2005) and obtained a livre-docência in Education at the School of Education of the Universidade de São Paulo (2011). He also holds a certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education from Tampere University (2019). He was Chair of IOSTE (2018–2020; 2020–2022) and served as South America Representative on the International Board of IOSTE – International Organization for Science and Technology Education (2010–2012; 2012–2014; 2016–2018). He was Director of Education at ABQ – Brazilian Chemical Society (2013–2015; 2015–2017), and Director of International Affairs at ABQ (2017–2019). He coordinated the Interinstitutional Doctoral Program (Dinter) between UFPI and FEUSP. He served as an advisor to JICA – Japan International Cooperation Agency (2013–2021) in Mozambique, working with the Ministry of Health.
