Andréia Hanada Otake

She holds a degree in Biomedicine from Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP, 2000) and obtained a Ph.D. in Oncology from Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (2005). She completed her postdoctoral training at Universidade de São Paulo (2006–2008). Since 2009, she has been working as a Scientific Researcher at the Laboratory of Experimental Oncology of Faculdade de Medicina da USP, starting as a Scientific Researcher I and currently serving as a Scientific Researcher VI. She carried out a postdoctoral fellowship at Duke University, NC, USA (Nov 2015–Jun 2016), and was a Visiting Investigator at the Champalimaud Centre for the Unknown in Lisbon (2018–2020). She has experience in the field of Cell and Molecular Biology, with an emphasis on Oncology, focusing mainly on the following topics: melanoma, gangliosides, cell death, proliferation, pancreatic adenocarcinoma, metastasis, microRNA, and extracellular vesicles.
