The Center for Translational Research in Oncology (CTO), a research laboratory complex at the Instituto do Câncer do Estado de São Paulo (ICESP) and the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP), has two open positions under the CLT employment regime: one for a Senior Researcher and another for a Junior Researcher. Applications are open until March 7, 2025.
The Senior Researcher position requires a Ph.D. in biology, biomedicine, medicine, or related fields. The researcher will work at the Experimental Oncology Laboratory, developing projects on the mechanisms of resistance of prevalent tumors to different forms of treatment, such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and targeted therapies. Desired knowledge includes statistics, genetics, genomics, cell biology, and immuno-oncology, with a focus on tumor resistance mechanisms.
The Junior Researcher position requires a Master’s degree in biomedical fields and involves work at the Multi-User Core for Genomic Transfer via Viral Vectors. The professional will be responsible for constructing viral vectors, generating recombinant viruses, performing cell transduction, and selecting genetically modified cells, including flow cytometry sorting. Desired knowledge includes statistics, genetics, genomics, cell biology, virology, and immuno-oncology.
The selection process for both positions includes an academic credentials evaluation, a written and/or practical test or group dynamics exercise, and an interview. All stages are eliminatory, and the minimum passing score is 6.0.
The hiring will be conducted by the Fundação Faculdade de Medicina (FFM).
