First edition of the course Multi-Modal Machine Learning in Biomedicine is completed

The first edition of the course Multi-Modal Machine Learning in Biomedicine, taught by Prof. Nancy Lan Guo of Binghamton University, State University of New York (SUNY), has been completed after an intensive training program focused on machine learning applied to biomedicine.

Throughout the program, Brazilian students had the opportunity to explore in depth techniques for integrating and analyzing different types of biomedical data, including multi-omics (such as genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics) and medical imaging, such as radiology and pathology. The students learned to apply machine learning algorithms to identify biomarkers, enhance clinical decision-making, and develop more robust predictive models. They also completed a final practical project that allowed them to consolidate the knowledge acquired in real data analysis and interpretation scenarios. Brazilian students were supported by Prof. Fabio Albuquerque Marchi.

C2PO congratulates the studentes who completed the course Andrea Jazel Rodríguez Herrera, Celso Vítor Calomeno, Fábio Patroni, Paola Ferrari, and Vinícius Maia Neto for their dedication and the excellent work developed throughout the course.
