José Mauricio Segundo Correia Mota

He is a Medical Oncologist specialized in the care and treatment of patients with urological tumors, as well as in the development and management of clinical and translational research projects. He serves as Head of the Genitourinary Tumors Group in the Clinical Oncology Department at the Instituto do Câncer do Estado de São Paulo (Universidade de São Paulo) and attending physician at Oncologia D’Or (Clínica OncoStar, Hospital Vila Nova Star, Hospital São Luiz Itaim). He is a Collaborating Professor in the Oncology Department at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine’s Young Medical Leadership Program (2021-2026). He holds an M.D. degree from Universidade Federal do Ceará (2003-2008, Magna cum Laude), completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto, Universidade de São Paulo (2011-2012), a residency in Medical Oncology at the Instituto do Câncer do Estado de São Paulo, Universidade de São Paulo (2015-2018), a Ph.D. in Oncology from Universidade de São Paulo (2012-2015), and a Postdoctoral/Advanced Clinical Fellowship in Genitourinary Tumors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (2018-2019). He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the Sociedade Brasileira de Oncologia Clínica (SBOC).
