He is a Translational Oncology Researcher with over 15 years of experience in cancer molecular biology, genomics, and proteomics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the Institute of Biosciences at the University of São Paulo (IB-USP, 2002) and obtained a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at the same university (ICB-USP, 2007). He completed postdoctoral training at ICB-USP (2008–2009) and at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB, South Africa, 2011–2014), focusing on tumor molecular biology and oncogene-mediated cell signaling, particularly tyrosine kinase receptors, drug resistance, and cancer-associated signaling pathways. He was a Visiting Professor at the Federal University of Goiás (2016–2020), where he taught courses and supervised graduate students in the Graduate Program in Genetics and Molecular Biology at the Institute of Biological Sciences (PGBM-ICB-UFG). Between 2020 and 2021, he worked as a Clinical Research Associate at InTrials. He also worked as a Senior Scientist at ICGEB (South Africa), leading multi-omics studies on prostate cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma, as well as projects aimed at elucidating mechanisms of resistance to cancer therapies. He is the author of several peer-reviewed scientific articles and serves as a reviewer for international journals. He has solid experience in securing research funding (NRF-SA, FAPEG/CNPq, FAPESP, Yamagiwa-Yoshida). He is currently a Research Scientist at the Laboratory of Experimental Oncology at the Center for Translational Research in Oncology (CTO) of the São Paulo State Cancer Institute (ICESP), where he is involved in projects focused on therapy resistance mechanisms, tumor metabolism, and microRNA regulation, with an emphasis on omics-based approaches.
