She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade de São Paulo (2000), a master’s degree in Sciences (Physiology and Biophysics) from the Universidade de São Paulo (2003), and obtained a Ph.D. in Sciences, in the area of Oncology, from the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (2007). She completed postdoctoral training at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (Department of Microbiology) of the Universidade de São Paulo and at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She is currently a researcher at the Center for Translational Research in Oncology (CTO) of the São Paulo State Cancer Institute (Icesp-FMUSP). She has experience in cancer cell and molecular biology, and her research focuses on the role of tumor extracellular vesicles in therapeutic outcomes, on immune system reprogramming in the tumor microenvironment, and on tumor progression.
