Miyuki Uno

She holds a degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the Federal University of Paraná, and obtained a Ph.D. and postdoctoral training in Sciences at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo. She is currently a Scientific Researcher responsible for the USP Biobank – Academic Network for Cancer Research, located at the Center for Translational Research in Oncology of the São Paulo State Cancer Institute (ICESP). She has experience in Molecular and Cellular Biology, with an emphasis on Central Nervous System tumors, mainly working on the following topics: tumors, mutations, polymorphisms (sequencing, PCR-SSCP), gene expression (microarray, qRT-PCR), and protein expression (Western blotting). She has also conducted research in the field of molecular epidemiology of cancer, with an emphasis on gastric cancer and the Japanese-Brazilian population (Division of Epidemiology and Cancer Prevention, Nagoya Cancer Center, Aichi, Japan).
