She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo. She graduated in Dentistry from the Federal University of Ceará (1993), obtained a master’s degree in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health (2003), a master’s degree in Health Economics from the Federal University of São Paulo (2006), a Ph.D. in Sciences from the Department of Preventive Medicine, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (2009), and completed her postdoctoral training at the Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (2010). She was a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Health Economics, University of York (2012). She currently serves as Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Public Health and Deputy Coordinator of the Professional Master’s Program in Innovation and Evaluation of Cancer Technologies. She is the Coordinator of the Health Technology Assessment Center (NATS), Department of Preventive Medicine, FMUSP. She is the Deputy Executive Director of the Executive Board of LIMs – HCFMUSP. She is the Coordinator of the Research Group on Equity and Efficiency of Precision Oncology Technologies at the Institute of Advanced Studies, USP. She is a member of the Management Committee of the National Institute for Health Technology Assessment (INCT IATS).
