She holds a degree in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas de Ribeirão Preto – USP (FCFRP) (2006), a master’s (2009), and a Ph.D. (2013) in Sciences from FCFRP. She completed her postdoctoral training in the Department of Genetics at the Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto – USP (FMRP) (2013-2017) and at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA (2017-2019). She served as a Level II Researcher in the Department of Neurosurgery at Henry Ford Hospital. She was the recipient of the 2022 “For Women in Science” award, an initiative by L’Oréal in partnership with the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and UNESCO. She is currently a FAPESP Young Investigator, a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow (PQ-1D), and an accredited faculty member in the Graduate Programs in Clinical Oncology, Stem Cells, and Cell Therapy at FMRP and in Biosciences and Biotechnology at FCFRP. She heads the Cancer Epigenomics Laboratory at FCFRP. She has expertise in Cell and Molecular Biology, Epigenetics, Stem Cells, Oncology, and Bioinformatics.
