On Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 10 AM to 2 PM, the Instituto do Câncer do Estado de São Paulo (ICESP) will hold the HPV Awareness Campaign on the sidewalk of the Federação das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo (FIESP) on Avenida Paulista (São Paulo – Brazil).
During the event, children and adolescents aged 9 to 19 will be able to receive a free HPV vaccine and learn from specialists about cancer prevention related to HPV infection. To receive the vaccine, a document with a CPF number will be required, and those under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
The campaign is led by Dr. Lara Termini, a researcher from Prof. Luisa Villa’s group at the Center for Translational Research in Oncology, in partnership with ComSaude Fiesp and the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS). The event is also supported by A.C.Camargo Cancer Center, the Brazilian Group of Gynecologic Tumors, Instituto Lado a Lado pela Vida, the São Paulo Municipal Health Department, and the Brazilian Society of Immunizations.
