Miyuki Uno

She graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the Universidade Federal do Paraná. She has PhD and Post-Doctoral degrees in Sciences from the School of Medicine, University of São Paulo. She is currently a Scientific Researcher responsible for the Biobank of the Academic Network for Cancer Research at Universidade de São Paulo (USP), located at the Center for Translational Investigation in Oncology (LIM24), Instituto do Câncer do Estado de São Paulo (ICESP). Since September 2021, she has been responsible for the implementation and operationalization of the Latin American Biorepository, which is part of the Regional Biospecimen Repository for the AIDS and Cancer Specimen Resource (ACSR) and the Biorepository for the AIDS Malignancy Consortium (AMC), funded by the NIH. She is a member of the Core Teaching Faculty Group, and also serves as a tutor and preceptor in Pharmacy for the Adult oncologic care -Multiprofessional Residency Program, Hospital das Clinicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (COREMU/HCFMUSP), at ICESP since 2018. She participated in the National Research Ethics Commission working group on the reformulation of regulations for Biobanks and Biorepositories. She is currently a member of the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER). She has conducted research in molecular cancer epidemiology, with an emphasis on gastric cancer and the Japanese-Brazilian population at the Division of Epidemiology and Cancer Prevention, Nagoya Cancer Center, Aichi, Japan.
