Tiago Fiorini da Silva

He holds a degree in Physics Teaching (Licenciatura) from the Universidade de São Paulo (2004), a degree in Physics (Bacharelado) from the Universidade de São Paulo (2010), a Master’s degree in Physics from the Universidade de São Paulo (2006), and a Ph.D. in Physics from the Universidade de São Paulo (2011). He completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (MPI). He is currently employed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nuclear Physics at the Universidade de São Paulo. He has experience in the field of Physics, with an emphasis on Accelerator Physics, working mainly on the following topics: materials analysis using ion beams, ion implantation, and beam diagnostic devices. He conducts research in the field of nuclear instrumentation for high-energy applications, developing microstructured gas detectors. He also works on artificial intelligence applied to scientific instrumentation, integrating the concept of the Internet of Things (IoT) into a scientific laboratory.
