On April 3 and 4, 2025, the Particle Therapy Masterclass will take place at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (IFUSP) and the Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo (ICESP). On the 3rd, the activities will take place in the ICESP Auditorium, and on the 4th at IFUSP.
The event is aimed at high school students who wish to gain knowledge about concepts and technical operations related to the use of particle physics in cancer treatment. Participants will have access to lectures, digital simulations, and global presentations on the topic. Registration is closed.
The Masterclass in Particle Physics is part of the International Physics Masterclasses program, an educational activity held in various locations around the world. The event is organized by the International Particle Physics Outreach Group (IPPOG) and coordinated by GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung GmbH (Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research).
